Channel is one of the largest and most comprehensive projects announced within the  framework of the Istanbul 2023 vision. The urban macro form of Istanbul will be changed completely in the event that it is implemented. It is planned to divide the city into two peninsulas and one island and to create a new route for marine transportation between the Marmara and the Black Sea. The project causes intensive discussions both due to its content and size and also due to its prospective influences on the city and the nature. The project comes forward as a significant project in which the real estate sector could become a direct stakeholder with the dimension of business and residential investments.
