The mega projects in Istanbul in the agenda of Turkey are as follows: The 3rd Bridge, the project within the scope of the North Marmara Highway project will be located on the North part of Bosphorus in Istanbul, it is located in the section of Odayeri - Paşaköy and provides transition from Garipçe to Poyrazköy. It is planned to carry passengers from Edirne to Izmit with the railway system in integration with the North Marmara Highway. It is also considered to integrate the Railed System that is planned to pass over the Bridge, with Marmaray and the Istanbul Metro. When previous examples in the past are reviewed during evaluation of a project of this scale, it is observed that the 2nd Bridge, “The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge”, had a significant share in development of Istanbul towards north and that the new settlement areas had been formed with this bridge which allowed  the new sub-centers to be formed in Istanbul in time.
